Can a handyman legally carry out electrical work?

We’re glad you asked! Yes, a handyman can carry out minor electrical work in the UK which is classed as non-notifiable.
Permitted electrical work by someone who is not a qualified electrician is limited and includes tasks such as replacing light fittings, or switches and sockets.
FiXXED Property Maintenance are competent in basic electrical work, and have training in electrical safety. We would not carry out any electrical work that would be unsafe, illigal, or put you in danger.
